The wait is almost over, VR fans. Beyond Medusa’s Gate, the new VR escape game developed by industry leaders Ubisoft Blue Byte and set inside the world of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is just days away! Here’s what we know so far...

“Eleven days from now, Red Bull, the energy drink more commonly associated with extreme sports, will stage the Escape Room world championships in Shoreditch, London”, wrote Simon Usborne in The Guardian on the 1st of April 2019. Get me out of here! Why escape rooms have become a global craze is, at its centre, a close look at the escape room industry in the UK. Beyond that though, the article is a witty, wryly told journey through one of England’s best rooms - our very own cQ:Origenes.

Angelic Diamonds are a jewellery retailer who stock a wide range of engagement rings. So it’s no surprise then that they know a thing or two about popping the question. Having previously compiled lists of where best to do so in Newcastle and Liverpool, it was only a matter of time until they reached London, where they decided to place clueQuest at the very top. Having witnessed many a proposal in our facility, we’re obviously thrilled. So without further ado, here is the all-important list:

Rowen is one of our most highly decorated agents. There’s not a mission she’s not qualified to run, and if the reviews are anything to go by (and let’s face it, of course they are!), she runs them exceptionally well. Her name comes up in 5-star review after 5-star review, so we joined her for a chat to find out what it is that drives her to deliver such unwavering customer service. Is it her background as an actor at The London Dungeon, her love of the spy genre, or her friendship with each and every member of staff? Well, as it turns out, it’s probably a perfect mix of all three...

It’s old news by now - escape rooms are great. Ask anyone who’s been to play one, and even those who started off cynical will spring up from their seats. “You know what?”, they’ll say, “It was actually really good!”, like it’s some miracle that an immersive puzzle game experience is anything but thrilling. But those thrills do come at a price - even we can admit that.

One of Mr Q’s newest recruits, Jon has already made a positive impact to the clueQuest atmosphere. His theatre background comes through in his professional yet instantly comforting way with customers. He claims to make a cracking cup of tea, so we called his bluff and asked him a few questions about life at clueQuest while they brewed.

Thanks to her immovable smile, Georgie is an instantly recognisable face around the premises. Not great for a spy, perhaps, but boy is it infectious. Every team in her care seems to leave with their cheeks aching and only nice things to say. We caught up with her over a cup of tea to ask her about her front-of-house role.
