School Trips and Enrichment

The Team Away Day Plus package is a wonderful mix of engaging puzzle fun and facilitated reflection, where the participants explore team dynamics, and evaluate their team performance against our team competency framework that highlights four main skill sets: Communication, Attitude, Decision-Making, and Problem-Solving. Add-on possibilities include 1) a live hosted table top team based Agent Training activity, 2) an observer feature, where a tutor or line manager follows a team's progress from mission control, 3) a facilitated debrief post escape rooms that includes an informal evaluation, team poll, and open discussion, 4) a soft skill workshop focused on developing team dynamic awareness, and/or 5) a version of our outdoor puzzle hunt game, Glitch Hunters. The entire venue can fit 180 people, which at any given time would need to spread 66 people inside escape rooms, 65 standing inside of our conference room space, and another 50 people spread throughout our reception areas and garden patio adjacent to the conference room. For large school groups (100+), however, we recommend staggered arrivals and hosting the whole large group across multiple time slots.

We have a maximum capacity of 6 people in one escape room for optimal escape game play and health and safety purposes.

According to our terms and conditions, all teams with under 16-year-old players must have at least one 16-year-old or older adult supervisor. We can make an exception for large school groups, where bringing enough teachers to supervise each room is not feasible. In this situation, teaching staff must be in the briefing areas ready to enter any escape rooms to redirect challenging behaviour. However, it’s the school organiser’s responsibility to include in their risk assessment that our staff are not safeguarding trained nor are they obliged to obtain a DBS certificate. It’s our staff’s responsibility to ensure the safety of the customers from our rooms and equipment and to ensure the safety and integrity of our rooms from the customers. However, it is the organising teacher’s responsibility to ensure the customers' safety from each other. We are not liable for any safeguarding disclosures within the escape room itself, however, our staff will do their utmost to relay any concerning information if it transpires.

The large school group discounted rate (£20+VAT per student) is already our most budget-friendly option. We cannot provide further reductions.

We have set times but can accommodate bespoke starting times for an additional fee of £80 per room. The only time slot that would not incur a bespoke start time would be the first slot and we can start games as early as 9 am for a school group booking of 3 or more rooms.

We recommend allotting 80-90 minutes for the reward trip escape game-only event. The enrichment school trip option lasts between 3.5 and 4 hours.

You can either pay via card through our webpage payment portal, using any of the major carriers, Amex, Google Pay, or Apple Pay. Alternatively, we can invoice your school’s finance department and accept BACS transfer payments. We are also experienced in filling out regular vendor forms and receiving a direct deposit. Do let us know when making an enquiry how you would prefer to pay.

We can set rooms and function space hire aside for up to two weeks, pending availability. Within those two weeks, you would need to pay either a minimum non-refundable deposit amount or the full amount to secure your booking. The minimum non-refundable deposit is equal to the value of a team of 3 for each room in your booking + the space hire cost if applicable to your booking. Your food order (if applicable) and any additional player expense would be paid closer to your event date or on the day with a one-time card payment.

We do not offer refunds on any transactions according to our terms and conditions. However, we offer an agreeable voucher policy, issuing vouchers for the original amount paid at no additional cost if given at least 14 days' notice of the anticipated booking rescheduling request or cancellation request. Vouchers are valid for 6 months from creation and can be extended for up to another 6 months. If we’re given less than 14 days and up to 24 hours' notice of a booking's team size needing to be reduced due to anticipated absences, we can process the vouchers for the amount equal to the number of players who cannot make the event date. We do not offer vouchers or refunds for no-shows on the event date.

We offer four different escape games that have at least one copy of each, allowing for healthy competitive team building and removing any worries about spoiling the missions for fellow students during post-escape discussion. Two of our missions have 3 copies and 4 copies respectively, which cater perfectly for large groups of up to 18 people playing one mission across three different units, and 24 playing another game in four different units.

We do not have a dedicated parking space for a charter or mini-school bus, however, there is ample on-street paid parking available along Caledonian Road. There is also ample on-street parking available along Copenhagen Street, along Barnard Park.
