Job Title: Sales & Events Team Leader

Reports to: CEO and Operations Manager

Location: On-site at clueQuest Ltd. 169-171 Caledonian Road, London, N1 0SL

Salary: £16.50 per hour (scope to increase after 3 months probationary period)

Contract: Permanent / Full-time 37.5 hours or Part-time 24 hours + overtime

Opportunity & Purpose

We are looking for an energetic, self-driven Sales & Events Team Leader to help us fill the quieter periods at our immersive escape room venue and maintain relationships with our existing customer base. You won't just be selling "rooms"; you will have the freedom to create unforgettable packages for schools, families, corporate groups and many others. This role demands a unique blend of skillsets, sales grit and dependable coordination, ensuring every booking, from a 10-year-old's birthday party to a high-stakes corporate away day is converted, coordinated and delivered with precision.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Growth Development (70%)
  • Incoming Leads and Lead Generation: Proactively identify new leads and convert incoming enquiries across high-value customer profiles: School Trips, Birthdays, and Corporate Team Building.
  • Strategy and delivery: In collaboration with the Marketing team, develop and deliver campaigns to target, reach and convert specific customer demographics throughout the year.
  • Package Innovation: Collaborate with the Operations Manager and management team to create and price "Bespoke Packages/Events" for new and existing customer groups.
  • Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed quarterly booking targets through a mix of inbound inquiry management and new customer outreach.
2. Event Management & Delivery (30%)
  • End-to-End Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for high-value clients, from initial inquiry and catering requests to on-site arrival and post-event feedback.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Communicate all relevant event logistics with the Operations team for large-scale or bespoke events, ensuring high quality delivery.
  • Organisation and Efficiency: Manage the events calendar, coordinate with all pertinent parties, ensuring zero overlaps and optimal venue utilization.

The Agent and Skillset We're Seeking

The role demands an optimistic and pro-active approach. clueQuest is an innovative, creative, and goal driven company, where the path isn't always paved. To thrive here, you must demonstrate:

  • Strong Initiative: You see a gap in the local school market or a quiet weekday afternoon, you build a campaign to fill it before being asked.
  • Self-Motivation: You are driven by the relationship building in sales and the "pay offs of play" in event delivery. You set your own bar high. Reach it, and set yourself a stretch goal.
  • Self-Accountability: You own your wins and your "near-misses." You manage your own time, your own CRM, and your own professional growth.

Requirements & Experience

  • Experience: 2+ years in a Sales lead role, preferably in the creative, hospitality, or immersive sectors (e.g., escape rooms, VR parks, experiential marketing).
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills; you can pivot your tone and approach to build relationships quickly with diverse customer profiles.
  • Organisation: Expert time and project management skillset, with a preference of 1+ years in Events Coordination or Management.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in CRM tools and Google Suite, booking software, and basic project management tools, and a willingness and capacity to learn quickly on the job.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends to oversee high-profile social or corporate events.

Why Join clueQuest?

  • A tangible impact: The opportunity to craft packages, onsite promotions, and sales campaigns driven by your creativity and know-how.
  • Dynamic team support: Collaboration and innovating together is key. You'll feel the support and encouragement to engage alongside our dedicated team of creative puzzle solvers and "setters".
  • Customer service legacy: clueQuest offers far more than just the opportunity to play. Your conversions facilitate the creation of happy and lasting memories.
  • Perks: Stable base salary + flexibility with working pattern, an EOY bonus (based on performance), and a company culture that values wit and out-of-the-box problem solving.
