For clueQuest this was of course Print+Cut+Escape!
For anyone who’s not familiar with our Print+Cut+Escape games (and seriously, what have you been doing?!) this is a range of play-at-home puzzle games which we launched in April 2020 in response to the increasing global lockdowns and the temporary closure of our secret headquarters in London. (Admittedly it’s not really that secret, because we tell everyone where it is...).
The launch of Stolen IQ was a very exciting time for us. We had no idea how well it would be received by the community. The response was… well… mind-blowing! No word of a lie - if it hadn’t been from the incredible support and generosity of so many people buying, playing and talking about these games then we probably wouldn’t be writing this blog right now, because we wouldn’t be here anymore. So to everyone who has got involved in any way - thank you so much!
Always Improving
It might sound cheesy (mmm cheese) but making P+C+E really has been a journey of discovery. Hand-on-heart, it was not something we’d been planning in advance - from having the initial idea to actually going live was only a month - and we’ve been very much learning as we go. As of writing this we have released six episodes (and we’re already working on number seven). Those of you who have played more than one will hopefully have noticed them improving over time - as we’ve tried new things, learnt what works better, and continually developed the online interface.
Once again we have to thank our players here. We asked for your feedback and you’ve given us loads! This month we’re going back over our first three games and looking for ways to implement as much as we can so that new players get the best possible experience - as well as taking it all forward for future episodes.
It’s Nice To Be Noticed
Well that’s a lot of us talking about our own product, but it turns out that’s a very fashionable thing to do at the moment! We’re very proud to say that we’ve been mentioned on various blogs and review sites, including winning an award for Humanity 2.0! So in a self-indulgent moment of shameless bragging - here’s a few of our favourites.
- ESCAPETHEROOMers - Bullseye Awards - Best Print-N-Cut game of the year
- Room Escape Artist - Recommendations Guide: Play On-Demand Online Escape Games
- Thrill Nation - The Best of 2020
- Dicebreaker - 6 best escape room games to play at home
If any of you fancy helping us out a little bit more, please consider sharing some of those articles and spreading the word. Plus it’s not just us who benefits, why not check out some of the other companies and games as well - plenty of things to keep you busy as we head into 2021!
Once again, thank you all for your ongoing support in whatever form it comes. Stay safe, and keep your eyes peeled for Prison of Memories Part 2 - coming soon...
